A project that aims to boost agroecological food production at the edge of UK cities, working in partnership with practitioners and researchers to greatly increase access to land for socially and ecologically beneficial farming close to urban communities.  An easy way to comprehend the benefits of fringe farming is by making simple calculations for up-scaling existing peri-urban market gardens. This can tell us the impressive amount of fresh fruit and vegetables, financial revenue and jobs that would be generated as a result of making just 1% of England’s peri-urban land productive.
